Very happy
Posted by Brian Champlin on 16th Nov 2011
I bought this saw about 1 month ago. I was upgrading from a bosch contractor saw and wanted to buy something that could be my final saw. I looked pretty closely at the following machines.
Uni-Saw 36-L352 - best price I found was $3199
General Int 650R - best price i found was $2899
King KC-26FXT - which looks the same and best price was $1799
Grizzly G6091- which also looks the same and their price is $1395
Laguna - again looks the same $1999
The CX201 from BB was $1399 and had a 3 year warranty. I was tempted by the uni-saw to be honest, but couldnt justify the price difference, neither could the wife. I looked at the Genreal, Laguna and King in person and the Laguna and Kind seem to be identical to the CX SEries, so I assume they are coming out of the same factory.
So far, Im pretty happy with my purchase. It came out of the package without any issues and set up was straight forward. There are a couple of errors in the manual which I have pointed out to BB, so lets see if they fix it.
Overall though, its a solid piece of machinery and I am glad I bought it and didnt over pay for other brand names. I would recommned the saw to someone in the market.
Thanks,
Brian.

sweet

this is a sweet table saw at this price. accurate, heavy duty motor (leeson to boot!) and the extension table is a great bonus. this is not a no frills saw, really like the chrome knobs and handwheels, what my wife calls the "gold plated" riving knife and its virtually vibration free.

Love it!

This saw was bang on from the first cut. The fence is excellent quality and this is a great addition to my shop. Set up was easy and purrs like a kitten! Passes the nickel test!
