26" Drum Sander - Craftex CX-Series
The CX504 features a high output 3HP motor which turns the two 6" drums at a speed of 1600 RPM for an excellent result. This sander can take work-pieces up to 26" wide and 12" thick and is equipped with a heavy duty conveyor belt which feeds the work-piece 3 - 20 surface per minute into the sander for smooth sanding. The control panel is installed on the front side of the machine to the right and controls the power to the machine and the conveyor belt. The sander is equipped with two drums allowing coarse and fine sanding in one pass and has two 4" dust ports on the top for optimum dust removal. Sand paper replacement on CX504 is made easy using two spring clips which hold the sand paper around the drum.
Like all CX-Series machines, this unit features powder coated paint, sharp looking two tone colours and a full 3 year warranty.

26IN. CRAFTEX CX SERIES CSA CX504
Although this may be my first duel drum sander, i was very sceptic. well glad to say bI was proven wrong. Unit was shipped to nothern Ontario, crating was good and no damage or issues. Machine was basically set up and ready to go, gust mount the control box and put the crank handle on. Everything was pre set, ran true and quiet. very nice machine....glad I purchased it

Great Dual Drum Sander
I have given this sander a four star rating. It is a solid piece of equipment, no assembly required. It ran true without any vibration out of the crate. It was a pleasure to work with and performed beyond my expectations. Only reason it did not receive the fifth star was because the instruction manual is sparse, and there were unsatisfactory instructions for belt replacement, and adjustment of the outboard drum. There were no instructions for sanding belt replacement (ie. start on the left or right?) and the mechanism for holding the belt in place was difficult to work with. In fact, the sanding roll on the inboard drum had to be constantly adjusted. I ruined one whole length of sanding belt (broke in the middle) because of the holding mechanism. On close inspection I found that the ends were still both ends of the holding mechanism so I am not certain why it failed. The price point is acceptable for a machine of this quality. Despite the noted shortcomings I recommend this machine for any serious woodworker.
