1hp dust collector
This is ideal for the size of my shop, I actually converted it to a cyclone which is better for me and it works great.

Craftex CX 404
The CX404 decal missing and during the directions for installing the Impeller Assembly Support, it can be installed backwards and in the YouTube video it is installed wrong but corrected without explaining it was changed. Works better when I installed the CX-HEPA filter to replace the Micron Filtration Bag.

Good machine, Attention is not good.
I bought this machine and it arrived with a blow to the motor grille that does not allow the propellers to rotate, customer service told me to take out the sunken one with another blow and we will send you a new grille, 8 months have passed and nothing has arrived, I also want to inform you that the machine has 79db is very noisy, I want to buy other things from this store but I have doubts.

Just what I needed
This dust collector looks great but more importantly it really sucks which is a good thing. I hook it up to one machine at a time in my small shop which works out perfect for me.

Good machine, Attention is not good.
The machine works very well, but it came with a blow to the outside of the engine, nothing serious, the grille that covers the engine has a damage, they left to send a new one, time passed and nothing; I want to buy your press drill but this reason has me thinking.

Small Shop Dust Collection
A great addition to a small wood shop. Plenty of power to handle wood working tools including mitre saw, hybrid table saw and planer. Mobile base allows user to change locations during projects and tuck it away once complete. Easy to assemble and easy to change collection bags.

Great so far
Have had this unit for 7 months now and figured I would do a review. I compared this up against the General Int, and the King Canada version. The CX and General had the same/simialr fit and finish, both well made. The King looked pretty cheap and the CFM rating was lower as well. Decided on the CX as it came with a 3 year warranty as well as the extra easy on dust bags as a bonus (which are great by the way). Overall this unit has exceeded my expectations and had handled me every time im in the shop. Strong power, not that loud and moves well around the shop when i need to. Good investment as I was using a shop vac prior to this.

it works, but thats about it
I bought this unit a few months ago, so far it has served me well as i'm only hooking it up to one machine at a time. a few problems : 1) I cut indoors and after i'm done running a machine i can feel the saw dust in the air. I suppose this because the filter bag that is supplied doesn't seem to do a good job of filtering the finer dust. I discovered that i could purchase better filter canister but for the price of the additional filter i suggest you step towards a cyclone collector. 2) I'm having the same problem as Cecil where the metal straps don't seal perfectly. Overal: I wouldn't buy this unit again. I'd considering sourcing my own parts and putting something custom together. I highly suggest anyone looking into buying a dust collector to first read Bill Pentz website on fine dust collection. I learned alot. Unfortunately it was after i had bought this unit and the disappointment led me to find explanations and solutions.

Does the job!
Been using this for a couple months now. I only have it hooked up to one tool at a time, so it does what it's supposed to do. I liked the fit and finish of the CX404 much more than the CT053, as well as the claimed increase in CFM. There are a couple minor issues - the metal straps on the bags and the filter don't seal perfectly, and so I see dust shooting out of the tiny gaps, especially near where the straps' clamp mechanism is. Perhaps some weatherstripping can fix this.
