absolutely critical in getting an accurate blade set on the 15 inch craftex planer. definitely well worth the money.

Using this for my 8 jointer, works great much easier than what I was using beofre. big time saver.

of poor quality
I have just received the knife setting gauge and found one of the adjustment knobs loose loosing the calibration also one of the shafts turns quite stiff and makes it impossible to get a proper feel the unit does not fit a 12 in planer without removing the motor assy I will return the tool
