Lumber Shelving Kit with Safety Pins

This lumber shelving kit features four levels of sturdy steel construction, and is ideal for holding and organizing lumber, pipes and other long items. What separates this system apart from others on the market is the unique safety pins. Each shelf bracket features 2 pins, which are removable if not needed and stand approx. 1". This allows you to better organize each level and also prevents rolling or falling of pipes or lumber.

Use this system in the workshop, garage, at the cottage, on just about any wall, fence or shed.

  1. Good solid lumber rack

    I bought 4 sets of these racks for my 22'x28' workshop. These assemble easily, are very solid, and can certainly hold a lot of lumber. I was disappointed in the mounting hardware though, as they are only #12 x 2" hex-head wood screws with a built-in washer. Ideally, the hardware should be at least 3" or 4" long. Assuming ½” OSB, drywall or plywood on the wall(s), that would leave only 1/2" or so extending into the wall studs. This is not sufficient in my opinion, considering the weight that can be loaded onto these racks. I spend $9 on twenty-four 1/4" x 4" lag bolts to sufficiently secure these to the wall.

    I was storing some black pipe that we use in the shop all the time for clamping and one of the guys backed in pretty quickly to the rack. Had it been a normal lumber rack the pipes would have all come crashing down and we had some "just" primed doors sitting underneath. This cheap rack has come in handy and in this case saved my hundreds of $$ !!
