I bought this to mix mortar, after nearly burning out two other drills (an old/cheap B&D, and a new Mastercraft 6A hammer drill). Both were fine when I had 3/4 of a bag in the bucket with the full amount of water. But when I'd add that last 1/4 of the bag the drill couldn't spin the paddle anymore and it would start to smoke.
This Dewalt drill powered through it like there was nothing to it. Mixed it really nice. The mortar was so much nicer to spread and I actually yielded about an extra 8-9 sq. feet of coverage. I've only used it on one bag so far, but it's enough to thoroughly impress me. The fact that I got it when BusyBee had it on sale for $99 makes it that much nicer.
