    New Design

Posted by David Loppe on 27th Aug 2020

This is the 3rd of these I’ve bought, the first two bought about 15 yrs. ago. Like the new design for setting the dimensions, although to be able to fit the nuts to the bolts the correct way, I had to first put them on opposite first, then undo them, as I couldn’t get the threads started.

Strong, stable base for a heavy tool

Posted by Rod Croskery on 4th Oct 2011

I have one of these with an extension under a Delta Unisaw, and just put another under a Poitras B2800 shaper with power feeder. They greatly facilitate movement of the equipment around the concrete floor of my small shop. For a report of the installation of a base on the shaper, check out http://rodcroskery.wordpress.com/2011/10/01/how-to-install-a-m

    It Does The Job

Posted by George Norman on 28th Sep 2011

I ran into minor problems during assembly, in that some of the threads were mis-formed, requiring me to buy a metric threading set and rework some of the threads, Busy Bee would have looked after the problem, but I live 220km from the store, so I elected to fix it myself. I use the base under a ct146 table saw, and I made a 3/4" plywood insert, then bolted everything together. Once the assembly problems were overcome, the base is extremely sturdy, rolls well, and anchors the saw solidly during work.
