This is an excellent saw. The frame is very sturdy which makes the saw very solid. I resawed a 2 x 12" with it with no problem. With a 2hp motor there is no stopping it. Although the saw comes with a 3/4" blade you are better off getting a proper resawing blade for it. The website suggests using the HTC 2000 mobile base however I got mine with the HTC 3000 base and I'm glad I did. Not only is this base more solid, it also has a better locking mechanism. I was able to adjust the base so that the saw fits in it perfectly. I can move the saw around with ease. I highly recommend this saw

This bandsaw has done more than I would have thought possible so far. Its very stable and installation was a breeze. Cuts like a hot knife through butter, seriously. Ive put about 20 hours or so on this machine, and so far, everything has lived up to the billing of the CX Series line.
I was also impressed with how the machine was crated when I picked it up.
5 stars so far.

This purchase was a long time in the making. I had an old Delta 14" which had served me well for many years. It was time for an upgrade and it took me a long time to decide on this CX100. I weighed my options between several units.
I went out and has a close look at the following units
The King 90-320 M1 17" unit.
The General 90-320 M117", which as far as I can tell, the exact same unit as the King 90-320 M1
The General 90-170B M114" machine. While this unit is smaller than the 14" it seemed more sturdy overall and the features were better.
Delta 28-206 14" which was the closesst to the my old Delta which had served me well.
Last up was the CX100 which I have heard good things about. I decided to make the trip over the Mississauga store as they are right next to Normand so I was able to compare several machines within minutes of eachother. I ended up with the CX100 for a few reasons. First, it has got to coming from the same factory as the General 90-170B M114" unit. The two are new twins except the CX100 has 1" more resaw capacity and the General has a foot brake. The price difference between the two was about $470!!! The CX100 had a longer warranty to boot.
Got the machine delivered since my Mazda3 is too small! Delivery went well and getting the machine assembled was EASY since the unit is a 1peice body/frame. Assembeled the fence and away I went. Its really too bad I cant post pictures on here but the machine is very solid. Passed my nickel test ripping a piece of maple and while I have only had this machine for 2 months, I have no compliants what so ever. It has been a dream for resawing and even though I didnt think I would be changing speeds much, the 3 different speeds have come in handy. Overall Im very happy I decided to get the CX machine. I saved money and looks like I got the better machine.
Only thing I would say is the blade that comes with the machine is not that good and I replaced that soon after I bought the unit.
