I have used this digital readout fence for about 2 1/2 years now, and it has worked excellent. After a short learning curve I decided to set the scale up to match my tape measures that I use in my shop instead of my digital caliper, which I had originally set it up to, Since I don't/can't use digital calipers to check for measuring furniture/ cabinets past 6" it was pointless to do so. I run a furniture/cabinet shop and use this fence everyday, this method of setting up the digital readout to my tape measure has worked out very well. To have the ability to set the digital readout to a previous measurement after moving the fence and have it recut bang on is truly well worth the added time to set up this system. I agree the digital readout can be too touchy, but I'd rather that than not.
I have installed this unit on a Delta Hybrid saw with a couple of minor alteration to the mount. I only wish I had purchased this years ago as this is one of the best upgrades to a table saw. The guide is extremely accurate and you can really do away with your tape measure once you have it calibrated. It can be almost too fussy with increments of 0.001", but does show fractions to 32nds of an inch as well at the appropriate intervals. Mine is in the garage and the battery has lasted for three years now even in the dead of winter in Niagara. A real plus for old eyes too.
Presice but readout is not at it's best, not enough fraction readout 1/16 in. Would have handy
