The 8" counter or bench sharpener offers a larger, wider diamond surface for sharpening a variety of edges including shears, cleavers, and specialty knives like plane soles, machetes, and more. This particular model comes equipped with extra-fine diamond (9 micron / 1200 mesh) to polish and refine a razor edge after sharpening with a coarser diamond and coarse diamond (45 micron / 325 mesh) to quickly restore a neglected edge. Thanks to its micronized monocrystalline diamond surface too, you can sharpen edges faster and easier than conventional stones can. No messy oils are needed either, allowing you to sharpen dry or with water.
