I love this planer but it became almost worthless after I owned it for a year as none of the local suppliers would carry replacement blades. It is a bit inconvenient but fortunatlly I am still able to order them on line.

based on my research, I bought this one for my home shop. My last planer was a dual blade Delta and was happy with it for several years until I moved fm Ont to BC last year and sold it. I have planed a lot of white oak and mahogany in the last two weeks with really good results. It is quieter than my Delta, gave very little or no snipe. The dust hood worked pretty good with my dust collector, but less so when planing less that 3/4". Found it to be a good practice to wax the base to help the machine work at optimum efficiency, after several hours of use. This tool is a workhorse, for sure and worth the money I spent.

I've had other portable planners before. NOTHING comes close to the finish left by this planner. The only problem was the red on-off button broke off the first time I turned it on. I can still turn it on and off so it really isn't a problem.

I love this planer. I've planed about 40 board feet of mahogany, and I have no snipe at all. The finish was like glass. Awesome buy! Highly recommended.
