Dust Deputy
The Dust Deputy is an extremely efficient, cyclonic pre-separator for vacuums. Trap dust in the barrel and NOT in your vacuum. The Dust Deputy will filter 99% of sanding dust, with only 1% going into the vacuum. Extend the life of your vacuum and your filters!
The Dust Deputy is molded from translucent, static dissipating plastic. Added to your existing wet/dry vacuum, it uses centrifugal force to literally spin the material being conveyed right out of the air stream, and into the bucket. The tapered inlet and outlet accommodates different sized hoses and couplings without the hassle of hunting for the right size connection.

Worked as promised but incomplete kit
I already owned one of these that worked perfectly! Great product. This was my second one. BUT...when I received it, this one did not include the adapters and hoses that came with the other one. Dissapointed to find out the product SKU had changed, but the price did not. Misleading and not fully explained in the catalogue online. Should offer both kits so it is clear what you are getting.

Works quite well, although I just tried it a couple times. I mounted the dust deputy on a plastic lid but wasn’t excited about having to pry the lid off a 5 gallon bucket each time so I used two buckets…because one bucket will slide into another. I cut the bucket with the lid off about 3” below the final ring that encircles the top where the handle attaches, this ring is about 1/4” wide so I stuck butyl rubber weather stripping on it for a better seal and dropped it into the second bucket. Easy in, easy out, good seal, works great!

Works really well. Sourcing fittings was a pain the rear end but once it is set up it works great.

would not buy again, without the right fitting it is very hard, expensive to find odd ball fittings. buy cheaper on with fittings.

Dust Cyclone
Attached it inline to my shop vacuum and it did exactly as promised. Removed all the dust before it got to the vacuum. Haven't tried it with wet dust or liquids, hence the four stars.

The best and most useful product
I bought this kit after seeing it on youtube so i decided to try it out. After buying the bolts and mounting it on a bucket, it performed flawlessly. I have never had so much fun cleaning my garage after i finish working on a project. Overall, this cyclone is worth every penny. I definitely reccomend this product.

great performer
I have a small shop, and wanted to use my shop vac for dust collection to save space. But the cost of shop vac bags and filters was killing me. I got a Dust Deputy DIY and mounted it on the tank of a defunct vac, and hooked it all up in line with my shop vac. That was over a year ago, and since then I have sucked up bucket after bucket of shop debris, but have yet had to change the bag in my shop vac. Dust Deputy rocks! It's worth every penny.
