Return Policy at Busy Bee Tools

Our return policy is designed to give you confidence and peace of mind, and reflects our commitment to quality products and customer service.

30-Day Return Policy

Returns are accepted within 30 days of the purchase date shown on your invoice, subject to these conditions:

  • The item is active and is not discontinued, clearance, or final sale.

  • The item is regular stock, not a special order.

  • The item is unused, unassembled, and in resalable condition with its original packaging.

  • The item is complete, including all accessories and manuals.

  • Proof of purchase is provided.

A minimum 15% restocking fee may apply to returns that do not meet these conditions. Such returns may also be refused.

Policies from manufacturers of branded products may supersede our return policy or warranty. For some branded products, you may be directed to contact the manufacturer.

Return Authorization and Shipping

Before shipping an item to us, contact our Customer Service Team within 30 days of purchase to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns shipped without an RMA number may be refused.

For online or shipped orders, prepaid shipping labels are provided only for confirmed defective merchandise or confirmed shipping errors. In all other cases, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and carrier selection. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.

To request an RMA, submit a ticket or call 1-800-461-BUSY (2879).

Returning Items In-Store

Visit your local Busy Bee Tools store within 30 days of purchase, and our team will help process an eligible return. Find your local store here.

Items Ineligible for Return

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Machinery that does not meet the conditions of the 30-day return policy. If you are experiencing an issue with a Craftex machine, submit a warranty claim. Craftex machines are ineligible for return unless they are confirmed defective and beyond repair following the warranty process. See the Craftex Warranty section below.

  • Machines and other products covered by a manufacturer warranty, including SawStop, Laguna, Rikon, Shaper Origin, Next Wave CNC, Axiom, Fuji, Vectric, Felisatti, and other brands. We will work with you and the manufacturer to resolve issues. These items are ineligible for return unless Busy Bee Tools is directly authorized in writing by the manufacturer.

  • Opened or used consumable items, such as sandpaper, cutting tools, and adhesives.

  • Software.

  • Personal safety items.

  • Special-order items and customized products.

  • Clearance, final-sale, discontinued, and inactive items.

Report an Issue

For the fastest response, submit a ticket.

  • Shipping damage: Include proof of purchase and relevant photos.

  • Missing or incorrect items: Include proof of purchase and relevant photos.

  • Malfunctioning items: Include proof of purchase, relevant photos or videos, and details about the issue. We will work with you to troubleshoot and arrange a resolution. For some branded products, you may be directed to the manufacturer, whose warranty and policies may apply. For these issues, contact us using this form.

Warranty

Craftex and Busy Bee branded products are covered by a one-, two-, or three-year warranty, depending on the product. If you experience an issue with Craftex machinery or a Busy Bee branded item, contact our Customer Service Team for troubleshooting and assistance under the applicable warranty terms. Submit a warranty request.

For warranty claims involving SawStop, Laguna, Rikon, Shaper Origin, Next Wave CNC, Axiom, Fuji, Vectric, Felisatti, and other brands, the manufacturer’s warranty applies. This list may change, and these brands include software and other types of tools as well as workshop machinery. We will work with you and the manufacturer to resolve issues. These items are ineligible for return unless Busy Bee Tools is directly authorized in writing by the manufacturer.

Warranty on Parts

Replacement parts provided under warranty carry a standalone 30-day warranty from the date of replacement or installation. The original machine warranty does not apply to replacement parts. This applies to all replacement parts, including motors and other critical components.

Craftex Warranty

Craftex is a brand of equipment exclusive to Busy Bee Tools.

Craftex Machinery

Busy Bee Tools warrants Craftex machines to be free from defects in materials and agrees to correct such defects where applicable. For the original purchaser, this warranty covers parts for two years on Craftex CT-Series machines and three years on Craftex CX-Series machines, and labour for 90 days, unless otherwise specified. Coverage begins on the date of purchase and does not apply to malfunctions arising directly or indirectly from misuse, abuse, improper installation or assembly, negligence, accidents, repairs or alterations, or lack of maintenance. Proof of purchase is required.

All warranty claims are subject to inspection of the product or part. Busy Bee Tools reserves the right to inspect any item before a refund or replacement is issued.

This warranty does not apply to consumable products such as blades, bits, belts, cutters, chisels, and punches.

Busy Bee Tools is not liable for injury or death, damage to property, or incidental, contingent, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products.

Craftex Blue Tornado Products

The Craftex Blue Tornado Limited Lifetime Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and does not cover wear and tear.

Busy Bee Branded Products

Busy Bee branded products carry a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover wear and tear or misuse.

Warranty Claims

To pursue a warranty claim, bring your machine to your nearest Busy Bee Tools showroom or contact Customer Service.

Please note:

  • We do not accept collect shipments.

  • Items returned for warranty service must be delivered in person or shipped prepaid to one of our stores or to our service centre.

  • Busy Bee Tools may repair or replace the item at its discretion, subject to inspection.

  • Busy Bee Tools reserves the right to refuse reimbursement, repairs, or replacement if a third party has repaired the item without our prior authorization.

  • Repairs made by Busy Bee Tools are covered by a 30-day warranty on parts and labour.

  • We will report unforeseen repair charges for your approval before proceeding.

  • Replacement motors purchased from Busy Bee Tools carry a 90-day manufacturer’s defect warranty.

  • The updated warranty supersedes all previous warranties. Effective date: 06/10/26

Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method, less any applicable restocking fees. The time required to receive a refund may vary because the process involves suppliers, shipping carriers, internal teams, and financial institutions.

For warranty claims involving SawStop, Laguna, Rikon, Shaper Origin, Next Wave CNC, Axiom, and other branded machines, the manufacturer’s warranty applies. We will work with you and the manufacturer to resolve issues. These items are ineligible for a return for refund unless Busy Bee Tools is directly authorized in writing by the manufacturer.

Price Guarantee

Shop with confidence. If the price of an item you purchased from us drops within 30 days of your purchase, we will offer store credit for the difference.
