What You’ll Do:

As a Seasoned Sales Associate, you’ll be a vital part of the Barrie store team, reporting directly to the Store Manager. Your responsibilities include:

  • Sharing your expertise in woodworking and metalworking to assist customers.
  • Providing excellent customer service to hobbyists and professionals alike.
  • Collaborating with the team to achieve sales goals.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
  • Being available to work on Saturdays as needed.

Who You Are:

Qualifications:

  • Woodworking/Metalworking Expertise: Strong knowledge and passion for these fields.
  • Retail Experience: Previous experience selling woodworking and metalworking tools and machinery is highly desirable.
  • Customer-Focused: A dedication to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Work Eligibility: Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Career-Oriented: A desire to grow and take pride in your work.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour + Profit Sharing

Position Overview:

Busy Bee Tools is on the hunt for a social-first, trend-savvy, data-driven Social Media Manager to take our online presence to the next level. You’ll lead our social channels with confidence, strategy, and a creative spark that can cut through the noise. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that calls for a mix of content creation, campaign planning, analytics, and community engagement. If you live and breathe social, understand how to engage both DIYers and pros, and can own every post, story, and metric like it’s your business then please keep reading.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and beyond.
  • Create, manage, and publish original high-engagement content (video + graphics) aligned with brand voice and goals.
  • Stay on top of social trends, tools, and platform updates, adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Design + edit content using Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Capcut, and other creative tools.
  • Collaborate across departments (marketing, retail, e-comm) to align content and campaigns.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams - Email, Sales, and more to ensure brand consistency and design alignment across all touchpoints.
  • Manage and optimize a UGC pipeline, working with customers, influencers, and creators.
  • Track and report on key KPIs: engagement, reach, conversions, growth, etc.
  • Translate data into actionable insights to constantly improve performance.
  • Support ad hoc retail and signage needs, including in-store creative and activations.

Tools You'll Use:

  • Creative: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, Capcut.
  • Social Management: Hootsuite, Native Apps (Instagram, TikTok).
  • Analytics + Planning: Excel / Google Sheets, platform insights tools.

Must Haves:

  • 3–5 years of brand-side social media management.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written + visual storytelling skills.
  • Strong portfolio that shows what you’ve done, how you did it, and the results.
