This mortising attachment and chisel set for your drill press allows you to double-task a machine you likely already have. Made from cast iron and steel, simply attach this tool to your drill press to bore out mortises in a range of sizes including 1/4", 5/8", 3/8" & 1/2". All the components will stay organized and safe in the included plastic case.

Great mortising attachment
I have yet to use this mortising attachment but I did have the exact same one and it was a little confusing at first but once I figure it out it made making mortises quite easy once set up to do it

Drill press mortise attachment
It’s a good product. Clamping works ok for small pieces of wood. Larger pieces (2”x 6”) requires a custom clamping jig. (Not difficult to fabricate.)

Sturdy tool. The accessories are a good bonus.

too small
I have a floor model drill press and the quill is 2.75". this has a max size of 2.5". return costs more than the value of the tool. measure your quill first. otherwise looks beefy enough

did not like the fence set up, ended up doing my own with blocking an c clamps.
