worth the investment
Bought a cheapo version on Amazon that yielded burned wood and tearout on my endgrain cutting boards. Threw that in the scrap metal bin after trying out this bit. I used it to surface some maple endgrain cutting boards and there was NO burning and zero tearout. Had my work surfaced in only a few minutes and the surface left was smooth enough that it din't take long to get sanded up to 220. Also, the shank on this bit has some extra length compared to the bit it is replacing so i didn't need to use a collet extender on my router. I couldn't be happier with the results.
