CX400 Bearing Whine
Purchased this machine and had for 8 months and the motor bearing is making intermittent whining noise. Took it in and of course could not recreate the problem... was told to keep using it until it becomes more of a problem. Not too happy with the so called 3 year warranty on this product.

Great single stage DC
Bought it to replace a 115VAC unit with 10" impellar. The 12.75 inch impellar on this unit really creates some serious suction. For a single man garage shop, this is all you need. For the price, including the cannister, this is the best buy out there in my opinion.

Lots of suction
Have had the CX400 now for about 5 weeks. A vast improvement on my shop vac. I have been very happy with the CX400. Highly recommend buying the remote as it makes it a joy to work without having to bend down every time to start and stop the unit. Only issue is a squeak when its powering down. I have read another review which touches on this issue. Will have to monitor and examine. Having a mechanic friend come to give his opinion before coming to a conclusion.

Good upgrade
Was upgrading from a 1HP and this was quite a jump in suction. I compred it carefully to a General 2HP with canister and the General unit looked virtually identical but it was about $350 more. I asked the General rep what the difference was and showed him a picture of the CX400 and he said he didnt know. I asked him if it came out of the same factory and he said "most likely". Man, he did a great job selling me on the busy bee unit. Glad I saved my money beucase this is a great addition to my shop, isnt that loud and works great with every unit in my shop.

Satisfied.
This has some really great suction and connected to my cabinet saw has reduced the amount of airborne dust significantly. Works well with my jointer and planer as well. The only issue that I have with the unit (this 4 stars) is that it has developed a bit of a squeak that might be a bearing issue. I guess time will tell.

Great Price!
Was going to guy a General Int. for $200 more. Compared the two, they are virtually identical. Glad a friend turned me on to busybee! Very happy so far. thanks
