Description
Like the 14|12 Bandsaw it is a 110 Volt saw that feels like a 220. Features include a pyramid-shaped spine, 1 ¾ HP TEFC Motor, quick release tension, 115-volt outlet, and micro-polished 21 X 16″ table mounted onto oversized Trunion paired with Aluminum Hi/Low Fence. Solid Cast Wheels are electronically, dynamically balanced & fitted with polyurethane one-piece tires designed to run cooler & last longer than conventional tires. The worm gear & pinion is ultra-smooth and engineered to have minimum flex even when fully extended. This is a trademark of Laguna, just like the famous ceramic Laguna guides. Double windows allow you to check both tension & tracking while the machine is running.

Disappointed
Machine is well made, but the adjustments are cheap and fiddly. Feels like useability was an afterthought. Ceramic guides are amazing. Example of adjustment issues: * fence knob sticks out 2” further than it needs to. *fence has to be removed in two steps. * lower guide virtually impossible to adjust without removing very heavy table. * adjuster leavers on table don’t have 360 degrees of rotation and require a bizarre ratcheting action. * the lower door won’t open past the table adjusters without lowering a weird little gate in the door itself. Sense is someone wanted to add “tool free” adjustments to an existing well made tool without putting any thought into it.

well built
this band saw lives up to all the reviews you may have read; top notch quality in materials, design, and features. too early to comment on durability, I have not owned it very long. Assembly was easy, and no alignment required for fence or table preset from factory accurate! No vibration detected using hardwood on this model.
