Poor Design Quality
I have never had success with ROK products, but I needed some roller stands in a pinch, so I bought two of these. The roller bearings, roller, height adjustment mechanism all met expectations. The stand's vertical column attaches to the horizontal base bars via a screw and barrel nut. The barrel nut seats in a pair of holes in the vertical column for retention. While a simple design, it is proving to be ineffective and frustrating. I have tightened that screw down numerous times on both stands, but the screw keeps coming loose enough to free the barrel nut from the vertical column. The cause of this failure is due to insufficient barrel nut overhang on either side of the vertical column. What this means for the end user is: if you bump the base with your boot, or if you're simply picking the stand up to move it, there is a risk that the stand will require re-assembly as the barrel nut slides out of position. I got better things to do than tighten my roller stands every week. ROK should redesign this with a longer barrel nut, or a narrower vertical column, or to have a different retention strategy. I recommend you buy a different brand.
