The CX20HC is equipped with a Helical Cutterhead which means it operates more like a sheer or skew cut taken with a hand plane, as the cutters are positioned at an angle to the feed rate and this shearing action provides a quieter, smoother and superior finish compared to the standard knives and spiral cutterheads.

This machine is built in the same factory as our CX20SC (20" Spiral Cutterhead Planer), and after testing both units side by side, the Helical Cutterhead provided a smoother and superior finish compared to the Spiral Version.

This planer will tackle just about any project you throw at it, all day, everyday.
