The DEWALT 13" Dual-Speed Planer combines a powerful 15-amp motor, three-knife cutterhead, two-speed gearbox, and automatic carriage lock for accurate, efficient thickness planing.

Designed to provide substantial capacity in a portable benchtop format, this planer handles boards up to 13" wide and 6" thick. Its 10,000 RPM cutterhead and three-knife design support smooth material removal, while the two-speed gearbox lets the operator select either 96 or 179 cuts per inch to balance productivity and surface finish.

An automatic carriage lock helps reduce cutterhead movement that can contribute to snipe without requiring manual engagement. The material removal gauge, extra-large thickness scale, and turret depth stop make it easier to monitor each pass and return to commonly used thickness settings.

Fan-assisted chip ejection pulls chips away from the cutterhead and directs them through the dust chute. A dust ejection chute and hose adapter are included for connection to a compatible collection system.
