Its 12-amp electronic variable-speed motor operates from 8,000 to 24,000 RPM, allowing the cutting speed to be matched to the router bit, material, and application. Full-feedback electronic control helps maintain a consistent speed under load, while soft-start operation reduces start-up torque for improved control.

The micro-fine depth adjustment ring allows precise adjustments in 1/64" increments. It also adjusts vertically, keeping the switch and cordset in a consistent position as the cutting depth changes. An adjustable, tool-free steel motor cam lock provides a secure hold while making depth adjustments and base changes quick and convenient.

Quick-release motor latches simplify motor removal for bit and base changes. A spindle-lock button supports single-wrench bit changes, while the self-releasing 1/4" and 1/2" collets provide secure bit retention and help prevent bits from becoming stuck.

The clear LEXAN sub-base improves visibility around the bit and accepts standard template guide bushings.
