The 6-row helical style cutterhead uses 26 two-sided H.S.S. indexable cutters to produce a smoother finish than traditional straight knife planers while helping reduce noise and sanding time. When an insert edge becomes dull or chipped, simply rotate the cutter to expose a fresh cutting edge, making maintenance faster and easier than changing standard planer knives.

For improved control, the planer offers two feed speeds at 16 and 26 FPM, allowing you to choose between a slower feed for a finer finish or a faster feed for general stock removal. The cutterhead raises and lowers on a 4-column precision ground carriage system for added stability and reduced snipe, while the large 12" x 14" infeed and outfeed tables help support longer boards through the cut.

Additional user-friendly features include top-mounted return rollers, built-in carry handles, thickness and depth-of-cut indicators, and preset depth stops for repeat cuts at common thicknesses. Built-in dust collection with dual 2-1/2" and 4" ports allows easy connection to either a shop vacuum or dust collector.
