Unlike many open-end drum sanders, the CX509N uses a stationary sanding drum while the conveyor table moves up and down. This design helps maintain rigidity and consistency throughout the sanding operation.

Use it to flatten and smooth wide panels, refine glued-up assemblies, or reduce stock thickness without the grain tear-out commonly associated with cutting tools.
