New Improved Craftex 3-Speed Air Cleaner 1290 CFM. This robust Air Cleaner features a more powerful 1/3 HP motor making it not only stronger but more efficient than its predecessor the CX407 (1/5HP). The CX407N has 3 speeds giving you different levels of air flow. This 3-speed air cleaner filters the air first with the 5-micron primary filter and then with the 1-micron secondary filter keeping it clean and free of dust. The air cleaner comes with four eye bolts which allow for easy mounting. Once mounted and hanging from the ceiling you can control the operation, duration and speed with the convenient remote control up to 40 feet away form the unit. Like all CX-Series machines this unit features a full 3-year warranty.

efficiency
works fine this a second unit. this one installed in my garage ( the first one in my wood shop). powerful, I mostly use both at first speed. convenient for short time grinding, welding and painting (spray can) to remove dust in the air. primary filters too expensive. find an alternative for decent prices.

Air cleaner
Amazing how well it eliminates the cloud of dust in my shop that I used to have when sanding. Lowest speed is all I ever need.

Excellent air cleaner, but…
Great price, amazing power and solid build quality make this a perfect addition to my workshop. I have an older version of this unit that has been working faultlessly for almost twenty years. My only criticism is that the remote controlled speed control, even on the lowest setting, is still too powerful/noisy. Not sure if an external fan speed control would work or affect the warranty. I will contact the manufacturer to seek a solution.

Must have for any shop or garage
I've used this a few times in my garage when I was using a metal cut off saw or grinder and it sure does work well. The air used to be super gross after doing anything that made dust but now after a minute or two the air is much clearer. I have two complaints with it though, the remote doesn't work that great at shutting it on and off from like 10 feet away so im not sure how it would do at 40 feet and I wish there was a filter minder of some sort on it so you knew when to change the filters. It looks like after only 3 or 4 uses the fan output is down because the filter is dirty but I can't be sure. Still a must have for any shop/garage that sees any dust or particulate.

CX407N air cleaner
Bought this air cleaner for my oversize 2 car garage, I only run it on low as that is more than enough for this size of garage! Works great and its amazing what a difference it makes to the air quality.
