Convert and upgrade your existing Dust Collector 1 micron canister replacement filter and bag to help keep even more of that fine particulate saw dust out the air and out of your lungs. Not only will your lungs thank you but your dust collector will function even more efficiently. This canister features a V-Weave filter design effectively increasing the filtering area by over 6 times when compared to standard cloth bags. With the Canister, simply turn the handle located at the top of the canister to rotate the internal flapper. The flapper removes dust particles and shakes of caked on dust into the lower bag of your dust collector. Dust disposal is now safer and no longer a chore with this 1 micron canister. Fits all makes and models of dust collectors with a 19 5/8" diameter.

Increased Suction, but Poor Quality Compression Band
I bought this on a Black Friday sale to retrofit an older Craftex CT030 2HP unit. My goal was to reduce dust leakage, and, if possible increase suction on my DC system. My subjective evaluation is that suction has increased noticeably. Time will tell whether dust leakage decreases. When I first took it out of the box, I was skeptical that it would fit over the opening of the CT030, but with a little vaseline to lubricate the rubber gasket and a little prying it went on without too much effort. My lower rating is primarily a reflection of the compression band shipped with the unit - it's absolute garbage. I tightened it a bit, but it wasn't quite fully seated in the groove, so I thought I would tighten it one more notch. That's when the rivets tore out completely. I had read another review that mentioned this weakness, so I was trying to be cautious. If it weren't for this considerable design flaw, my rating would have been 4 or 5 stars.

1 micron canister Filter for 2-3 HP Dust Collectors
Definitely increases suction level of my 2HP collector versus the fabric bag and does not leak dust out thru the filter media into the shop as the fabric one did. Only negative is the band clamp supplied is very thin steel and with only moderate clamping force one side of the clamp pulled out of the rivets holding it to the band. In substituted the band clamp from the fabric bag - thicker steel and better riveting - and recycled the the one that came with the canister.

Warning - Not One Size Fits All!
I bought one of these on sale to fit a King Canada KC-3105SC which I figured would be close enough to the Craftex 2Hp equivelent, given that they are all more or less the same. Well the steel part that the canister slips over is ever so slightly bigger than what this filter was designed for. There was enough flex in the rubber collar for me to eventually force it on, but it isn't a great fit. Once installed, filter seems fine.
