    Dust Collector

Very easy set up - like others have said it is a bit tippy if you aren't careful. Very quiet compared to a shop-vac and cyclone set up.

    Dust collector intake

Posted by Russ on 7th Jul 2020

If you are using this dust collector for fine sawdust it ok. It plugs up when using a planer or larger shims from a table saw. I will cut out the cross bracket at the in take and hope I don’t damage the fins.

You get what you paid for

2 stars is exclusively for the lower bag design, virtually impossible to put it on without tricks. Lifehack: use a bungee cord to hold the bag and preventing it from falling off the drum while you're putting the fastener around it. The price probably justifies the quite average quality of this dust collector: very thin metal, drilling is not precise, bolts and nuts are soft, paint is easy to scratch. Haven't run it yet, hope it works.

Best Dust Collector for the Money

Posted by Matt on 24th Apr 2020

The quality of this product is better then I expected. Everything seems very sturdy and of good quality and thickness. Quieter then I thought it would be. The only issue I had was with the instructions. Its a little unclear which fasteners, nuts and washers are used to asseble certain parts. Thankfully I found a Step by Step Assembly Video Series. It took a lot of the guess work out and helped me tremendously. Video link: https://youtu.be/r03MfQ_KuCY

    A good buy so far

    Posted by glenn.ryzebol@gmail.com on 30th Mar 2020

I have only worked with for a few days now but so far I am quite happy with how it works and consider it a large step up from a shop vac. It is much quieter as well. The assembly instructions and illustrations could be more consicely written. You have to kind of figure it out for yourself a bit, but you`ll get there with a touch of patience. Get the inexpensive hose kit. It has 10 feet of hose and some clamps to get you going. I had one of those bucket cyclone things. Just get a proper dust collector. You`ll be glad you did

    Good value for money

Posted by Hoyt on 2nd Apr 2019

'just bought this machine to replace a 4.5HP contractor model shop vac. While the shop vac seems to have more suction this machine has many other benefits such as, low noise, ease of emptying and better filtration. I necked it down to 2 1/2" which is what most of my machines are running. I'm not convinced that it would have enough velocity at the stock 4" but works good at 2 1/2" All in all, I like it better than my shop vac. It works great on small shop machines like my 14" bandsaw, 6" belt sander, 6"jointer etc. The casters work well enough on a smooth floor although I'm thinking of adding some weight to the base for more stability.

    Failed on the first day

Posted by Rick on 1st Nov 2018

Motor gave out on the first day. Had an absolutely horrible experience while trying to exchange this thing. The Calgary store manager was rude and accusatory towards me. I was in the store for an extremely long time while they tried to fix it. Then they wheeled out another machine as a replacement. I found out later it was used. The paint inside the impeller housing was completely worn off from use. They offered no discount either, so I will never buy from them again to avoid being cheated and ripped off. This is my second time trying to post this review. They must only post "some" reviews on their products.
